Street Guide

There’s something special about Kyneton, and it’s more than just country charm. The town has built a reputation as a creative hub, where good food, art, and community meet in unexpected ways. With the opening of our brand-new Third Drawer Down store at 159 Mollison Street, we’re excited to join this vibrant neighbourhood and share the street with some truly iconic locals.

To celebrate, we’ve put together a guide to spending a day on Mollison Street. From croissants and coffee to artisan chocolate, fresh produce, and a little bit of treasure hunting, here are some of the stops that make this stretch of Kyneton such a joy to wander.

Monsieur Pierre

Nestled in the central foodie heart of Kyneton, Monsieur Pierre is far more than your average café. Open seven days a week, this gourmet haven triples as a café, deli, and uplifting gathering spot. Whether you’re craving a perfectly brewed coffee and flaky croissant, seeking a last-minute take-home dinner, or hunting for that special gourmet ingredient, Monsieur Pierre has you covered. It’s the kind of place where friends catch up, locals refill their pantry, and travellers pause to savour the moment.

Easy Store

A splash of colour and creativity on Mollison, Easy Store is known for its kooky kidswear and playful streetwear, but that’s only half the story. Step through and you’ll also find Video Easy, a retro inspired video store that pays cheeky homage to the old school rental shops we all grew up with. It’s part fashion boutique, part nostalgia trip, and fully worth a visit.

Third Drawer Down – at 159 Mollison

We’ve opened the doors to our new outpost in Kyneton, a space that’s more than just a store. Set inside an industrial-style building, this is our newest retail space, base of operations and warehouse hub rolled into one. It’s a place where the practical meets the unexpected, stock moving in and out, ideas being built, and art objects ready to be discovered. Step inside and you’ll find the same Third Drawer Down spirit you know and love, now with a raw, industrial edge that makes this outpost uniquely Kyneton.

Fed Food Store

Fed Food store and Catering, run by local couple Troy and Catherine Christmass—serves up “good food to go” made on-site with seasonal, locally sourced ingredients. From hearty lunches to premade dinners and delectable desserts, every meal is thoughtfully prepared and vacuum-sealed for freshness. The shop also stocks a curated pantry of artisan products making it easy to curate a gourmet pantry and enjoy meals with minimal effort.

Watts Fresh Food Shop

A pillar of the Kyneton community since 1944, Watts Fresh supplies the town with traditional fruit, veg, pantry staples, and more—all delivered with care and longevity. From its origins post-World War II to its reinvention under renewed local ownership, this store has kept its mission: provide quality produce at fair prices while nurturing local connection.

Sisko Chocolate

End your Mollison wander with something sweet at Sisko Chocolate, where every creation is handmade in small batches from premium couverture. Chocolatier Christina Tantsis transforms chocolate into delicate bars, bold flavour combinations, and sculptural treats that are as beautiful as they are delicious. It’s indulgence, crafted with care, and the perfect way to round out a day in Kyneton.
