THIRD DRAWER DOWN ANNOUNCES LEAVING IS LAME SALE 

Third Drawer Down announces the end of lease closure of its longtime flagship store at 93 George Street in Melbourne’s Fitzroy.

With the lease ending and pivoting in Covid times, the brand has evolved to a global online-only retail platform, embracing its ever-growing digital presence within Australia, the USA, UK and European markets. Next stop is Asia.

While the physical bricks-and-mortar model finishes up for now, it's not the closing of the brand. With three websites open 24/7, over 500 wholesalers and the creative studio continuing to work with museums, cultural institutions and artists worldwide. Recent Third Drawer Down collection releases have come from collaborations with such renowned artists as Jon Burgerman (US), Tony Albert (AU), Faith Ringgold (US), Nick Cave (US), and there is more to come!

Since setting up shop in 2008, the space has seen its fair share of hijinks, from notable names such as Sarah Jessica Parker, Susan Saradon, Katy Perry and Cate Blanchett popping in to purchase, to nude shopping days to the world's smallest convenience store: all part of Third Drawer Down's credo of artistic integrity, functionality, accessibility, and people making their life less ordinary.

Saying “see you later, Fitzroy”, but not goodbye forever, the store will host a massive one-off sale / day party as a fitting send-off on 16th July, from 10am-5pm. 

Lifting is lousy, and moving is a mission, so everyone is invited to come along IRL and help clear the shelves of ends of lines, special one-off samples, floor stock, as well as discounts from between 25% to 99% across all Third Drawer Down items sold in-store that day. Loyal locals and visitors alike are in for a shopping treat.

From the store closing date, metro-Melbourne customers will now receive free shipping on online orders, and Third Drawer Down will pop up in the neighbourhood again in November with a special Christmas shop (location to be announced).
