Chris Johanson by Bob Nickas takes a detailed look at the American artist, who's work has developed a loyal following for it's vibrant and hilarious take on the universe, and our place within it.

Johanson's paintings, drawings and sculptural installations explore the human condition with wit, humour and sincerity. Using salvaged materials, the artist often comments on humankind's relationship with the natural environment; resulting in meditative yet sometimes confronting imagery.

Johanson's work has been exhibited at many international shows, including the Istanbul Biennial, the SITE Santa Fe Biennial and the Whitney Biennial.
