ART VAULT: Patrick Francis’ paintings explore aspects of his personal experience

Patrick Francis’ paintings explore aspects of his personal experience, resulting in distilled images that represent various portraits and still-life installations.

Often utilising acrylic on paper as his chosen medium, Francis uses bold colour as an expressive tool, focusing his and the viewers attention on key elements in his paintings. Patrick Francis has work in several private and public collections including Art & Australia Collection, and was a featured artist for Arts Project Australia in the 2012 Melbourne Art Fair at the Royal Exhibition Building.

ARTS PROJECT AUSTRALIA is a centre of excellence that supports artists with intellectual disabilities, promoting their work and advocating for inclusion within contemporary art practice. A broad range of artwork produced at the Arts Project studio is available for sale including paintings and works on paper, prints, ceramics, sculpture and animation DVD’s.
