Born out of bland late night TV viewing and the worrying realisation that public personalities look more and more alike, this work is in some ways a wink and a nudge to the seemingly vain and pointlessly “global” our world is becoming.

Botox – a dangerous chemical that paralyses nerves but gives the muscles a chance to relax – reflects the denial of the aging process in an increasingly futile pursuit of happiness. I propose that to avoid wrinkles in the first place one should stop smiling. Same result.

Suck up narcissism, youth, designer accessories, fake tan, do Botox! Here’s the fastest way to infuse yourself with numbed perfection (if you can afford physical follies!).

Image is everything it seems. Wink, wink, nudge, nudge, not.
